A data-driven approach to executive fluency.
Most English lessons fail because they lack clear metrics. You talk for 45 minutes, the teacher corrects a few mistakes, and you repeat the process next week. You never know if you are actually improving.
My approach is different. I believe some aspects of communication can be a set of specific, measurable skills. By tracking data, we can isolate exactly where your English is breaking down. Is it your logic? Your rhythm? Your vocabulary? Then, we improve it.
After every session, you do not just get "corrections." You also receive a 5-Point Radar Analysis based on global business fluency. This ensures you are not just learning "English," but learning how to be effective.
The 5 Metrics We Track:
1. Effectiveness: Did you achieve your goal? If you were negotiating a price, did you win? If you were giving instructions, were they followed? We prioritize results over perfection.
2. Phonology (Intelligibility): I do not force you to sound American. Your goal is to be clear. I assess stress, intonation, and rhythm to ensure your message is understood without effort.
3. Logic & Fluency: Japanese speakers often hesitate because they are mentally translating. I measure your ability to link ideas smoothly using transition words and Western logic structures (PREP), as well as respond within an appropriate timeframe.
4. Naturalness: Are you using the right level of formality? I assess if your vocabulary matches the context—ensuring you don't sound casual in a boardroom or too serious at a dinner.
5. Grammatical Control: Accuracy matters, but so does complexity. I track your ability to use sophisticated structures like conditional sentences ("If we had...") to handle nuanced business scenarios.
Using the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference) standards, I have developed a 10-Level progression map. Let's identify your starting point and set your target.
Stage 1: The Foundation (Levels 1 - 4)
Current State: You can handle simple greetings and travel logistics, but you struggle to explain complex ideas or manage misunderstandings.
The Goal: Build the "Skeleton" of English—sentence structure and basic tenses.
Stage 2: The Independent Professional (Levels 5 - 7)
Current State: You can explain procedures and handle daily business, but you lack nuance. You may sound too direct or too vague.
The Goal: Master "Logical Flow." You will learn to express degrees of certainty, make reasoned arguments, and resolve miscommunications independently.
Stage 3: Executive Mastery (Levels 8 - 9)
Current State: You are fluent, but you want to dominate the room.
The Goal: Negotiation and Debate. You will learn to handle sensitive issues, identify cultural bias, and use nuance to influence outcomes. At Level 9, you can handle negotiation and debate just about as well as you can in Japanese.
